Bridgeport got back on track on the high school football field this evening as the Indians managed to take a 34-20 win against Harrison County and Big 10 foe Robert C. Byrd in Clarksburg.
The visitors had more than 300 yards on offense on the first half, led by Jake Bowen's running and John Merica's two touchdown passes, to cruise to a 34-0 lead at the halftime. The Indians almost exclusively used reserves in the final two periods where the Eagles scored all three of their touchdowns.
The win moves Bridgeport to 4-1 on the year. The Eagles fall to 2-3.
The Tribe returns to action next week with a home game against Buckhannon-Upshur. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
