Bridgeport Public Library to Host Events for Children, Teens, Adults

Bridgeport Public Library has a number of events coming up for children, teens and adults.
Are are welcome to discuss the latest drama surrounding Poldark during Tea & Talk weekly meetings, Mondays at 1 p.m., November 4 and 18, 2019. Tea will be provided, and participants are welcome to bring a bag lunch.
“Booksmart” will be shown in the library’s event room for adults to enjoy on Friday, November 1, beginning at 1 p.m. Bottled water will be provided.
All children are invited to Books and Barks on Saturday, November 2 from 1:30- 2:30 p.m. The Mountaineer Therapy Dogs will be present and eager to have children read stories aloud to them. Call the Bridgeport Public Library at 304-842-8248 to reserve a time slot for your child.
“Luce” will be shown in the library’s event room for adults to enjoy on Monday, November 4 beginning at 6 p.m. Bottled water will be provided.
C. Becker, West Virginia author of “Finding Euphoria,” will be at the Bridgeport Public Library for a book signing event on Monday, November 4 from 5-7 p.m. Copies of her books will be available for purchase during the event.
“Bookin’ It” will be held at the Bridgeport Public Library on Tuesday, November 5 and 19, beginning at 2 p.m. The event features low-impact aerobic classes for adults and senior citizens. Low impact exercise involves a full range of motion, tones, and tightens muscles, improves balance and posture, increases heart rate for healthier cardiovascular system, and improves coordination with stretching. Please consult a doctor before beginning any fitness program.
“Human Pacman” will be held at the Bridgeport Public Library on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at 6 p.m. Participants will play a live version of Pacman. This event is for teens between the ages of 10 and 18. Registration is required by calling 304-842-8248.
All children are invited to the library for a movie on Thursday, November 21 at 6 p.m. “Lion King” is the feature presentation. Children between the ages of four and twelve are welcome. Registration is required and can be easily done by calling the library at 304-842-8248 or by stopping by the library’s back circulation desk.
“Puzzling Puzzles” will be held at the Bridgeport Public Library on Thursday, November 7 at 12 p.m. Participants will be able to work on a puzzle by themselves or as a group. Puzzles uncompleted will be saved until the next puzzling puzzle program. This allows the community time to enjoy solving puzzles.
