...now about those cows. They were across from a little roadside ice cream place on Sun Valley. They may have even been at the triangle in Clarksburg at one time and then to Bridgeport. You know cows, grass is always greener :)

...oh my yes. I did two tours of duty at Sonny's. First as a cook where I learned many lessons form Sonny. It was my first day or so and lunch was always a big deal as it is to this day. Having never done anything like that I was nervous to say the least. These people gotta be fed and fast and my first hogie order came in. What do I do, what do I do. Sonny, the master calmly looked at me and said, "put the bun in the oven, it takes the longest". My second tour was as a dish washer. Now this was the time when Sonny was getting in on the buffet craze. Every one had one, why not us. He served it on what was thru the day the lunch counter, food everywhere. Which meant many very dirty pots, pans and dishes. By the end of the evening I had pans soaking everywhere I could stack them. Another important lesson, maybe find another line of work. Like Forrest Gump would say, "dish washing is tuffff". Many more stories to tell. He was a good guy and he and his wife Shirlee raised some darn kids...to salute!!
