Bridgeport Police, along with the U.S. Marshals Service and West Virginia State Police, have apprehended a trio of individuals wanted on felony charges.
Arrests were made Monday after a tip was received that 27-year-old Ashley Wagner - who had been involved and indicted in the recent ‘Operation Ice Dragon” drug roundup - was located at a residence on Jefferson Street in Bridgeport.
“Upon arrival, police found her hiding in the basement. She was charged with methamphetamine trafficking,” Walker said.
Also at the residence were Carrie Jean Wiant, 32, of Bridgeport, and Robert Henry Gabbert, 34, both of whom were also wanted on felony charges.
“Wiant was wanted on a bench warrant from Harrison County Judge (James) Matish for failure to appear for a sentencing on a grand larceny charge in November,” Walker said. “Gabbert was on parole for a 2016 drug conviction and his probation officer had issued a warrant for probation violation.”
As ordered by Matish, Wiant was held without bail at North Central Regional Jail and Correctional Facility. Wagner was also booked and jailed at the facility. Word is forthcoming on Gabbert.
