Wet Roads a Factor in Late-Afternoon Interstate Collision
By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on November 26, 2014
Wet roads played a role in a late-afternoon accident on Interstate 79 at the 121 mile marker (Meadowbrook Mall exit.)
“It was a rear-end collision,” said Bridgeport Police Sgt. C.S. Carpenter. “A Subaru Outback was stopped in traffic at the bottom of the southbound exit ramp, about to get onto Johnson Avenue. A Chrysler Sebring couldn’t come to a stop fast enough and rear-ended the Outback.”
The accident happened just after 3:30 p.m. Bridgeport Fire and EMS also responded, but no hospital transports were necessary.
