As Steve and Jeff said, The Parkette and Della's Deli have fine hot dogs. HoBo Junction just inside Harrison County line on Rt 73 also has fine hot dogs. I remember up from Notre Dame high school, late 50's early 60's there was, I believe two places, do not remember their names. They had good hot dogs. Those were the good old days.

...your right Jeff. We do and have had some very good hot dog "joints". Again, you correct, when talking about hot dog places, Andy's usually comes up. He had that little place and I think for some reason he remodeled it or changed somehow. In the beginning I think it was walk up only and then seems like you could go in. Still not sure if he had setting. Andy and Rose. They lived in the little adjacent to the stand. Many a trip on my bike to Andy's. Six kids and 10 cent hot dogs. D&P in Gore makes a pretty dang good hot dog also, as the weekday lunch crowd can tell you. I have also had Sisslers and that's where it was. We still on occasion get Yann's and yes you better have something handy to drink. Along with Ritzy up town, back in the day there was Sanitary Hot Dog. I think it was more on the Workingman Store end of Pike Street. A Greek family had it. There were probably hot dog wars over those two. I'll tell you another one, Sonny's. I made em. That's how that whole thing got started. Tucked back up off of Main Street with a gravel parking lot. Sold a lot of them at lunch. The Parkette has a good hot dog to this day. Yes, we are lucky to have so many good hot dog options in our little corner of the world. Thanks Jeff...
