Stonewall Resort to Host Concert, Fireworks Sunday Sept. 1st

PHOTO ATTACHED: Marshall Lowry Band The Marshall Lowry Band to Perform Sunday, Sept. 1st at Stonewall Resort Fireworks show to be offered Weston, WV (September 2013) – The McFly Outdoor Concert Series continues Sunday September 1st at Stonewall Resort with The Marshall Lowry Band, with special guest Todd Burge, performing under the stars on the Roanoke Activity Plaza lawn. Later that evening the resort will host a fireworks display over Stonewall Jackson Lake. The concert is provided through the generous sponsorship of McFly Outdoors and EQT, in conjunction with the Stonewall State Park Foundation. Steve Ludwig, director of sales and marketing at Stonewall Resort, said, “With the Labor Day holiday most people have a little more time to enjoy the long weekend. We hope they’ll come out and share it with us for great music and fireworks.” Beginning at 6:00 p.m., Morgantown artist Todd Burge will perform on the Roanoke Activity Plaza lawn. At approximately 7:00 p.m. The Marshall Lowry Band, a trio from Fairmont that has been playing together since 2009, will take the stage. According to the band’s website, “The Marshall Lowry Band offers a great mix of country, rock, southern rock and blues with just a touch of jazz. Their heritage and extensive knowledge of music combines to create a unique experience.” Following the performance, guests will be treated to a lively fireworks show over the lake. There is a $5 per car admission fee to enter Stonewall Resort State Park on September 1st. Once inside the park grounds, there is no cost to attend the concert. Guests are encouraged to bring their own chairs. Barbecue and other food items will be available for purchase at the event.
