Local Poet, Twyla Vincent, will be at the Bridgeport Public Library for a Book Signing Event!
Bridgeport, WV – Harrison County native, Twyla Vincent, was a nurse by trade, but is a poet by heart. She has just published her collection of poems about her unique life experiences. My Own Person With Many Hats is her first bound volume. On July 20th from 1:00pm to 3:00pm, copies of the book will be on sale at the Bridgeport Public Library where Vincent will sign and discuss her book with the public! All are welcome and admission is free.

About Twyla Vincent:
Vincent was born in Clarksburg, WV and is married to Harold L. Vincent. She attended Salem College, after her children were old enough to attend school, and received an Associate’s Degree in Nursing. She later attended West Virginia University, and earned a BSN. She worked at United Hospital Center for twenty-four years. She exercised her interest in writing through pieces featured in the Shinnston News, Harrison County Journal, The Clarksburg Telegram, Appalachian Heritage, Wild Sweet Notes, 50 Years of West Virginia Poetry, West Virginia Words, BBW, and a small booklet of nursing poems given to Patient Services personnel at UHC. She also taught as a Clinical Nursing Instructor, at Salem-Tokyo University, and as a Medical Instructor at Business College. She is a member of WVWriters, Inc. and the Crow's Quill.
