Wild World of Animals Weekend Coming to Stonewall Resort Dec. 7-9

Weston, WV (December 2012) – Stonewall Resort will truly be “close to nature” and “far from ordinary” the weekend of December 7-9 as Grant Kemmerer III brings his Wild World of Animals showcase – considered one of the best animal shows in the country – to Stonewall for a weekend of animal entertainment and education, resort officials announced. Additionally, the weekend will feature a variety of holiday performances by regional groups and different holiday-themed craft and culinary demonstrations.

Steve Ludwig, director of sales and marketing at Stonewall Resort, stated, “This will be a special weekend to visit Stonewall Resort. Perfect for parents and children alike, the Wild World of Animals showcase – which has been featured on David Letterman, Piers Morgan, Good Morning America and more – offers guests a comical and interactive experience with a variety of exotic animals, while at the same time spending quality time with friends and loved ones.” Ludwig said three Wild World of Animals shows will be offered throughout the weekend: Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. and at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Throughout the day on Saturday, guests will have the opportunity to “meet” the animals, learn about their habitat and habits and interact with Wild World of Animals staff. Animals scheduled to be featured in the event include Siberian Tigers, Snow Leopards, Bearcats, Warthogs and other mammals, birds and reptiles, however, this lineup is subject to change. The weekend will also be chocked full of holiday activities for the whole family. The Madrigal Singers of Clarksburg, West Virginia will perform holiday favorites, as will local vocal talent Maggie Ludwig. The Diamond Dancers will perform selections from the Nutcracker Suite, as well. Holiday craft and culinary demonstrations, along with planned recreational activities, will be offered throughout the weekend. Stillwaters Restaurant will offer special meal selections throughout the weekend and Sunday will feature a special Brunch with Santa from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Resort Packages including tickets for the Wild World of Animals showcase and overnight lodging on either Dec. 7 or Dec. 8, start at $89.00.
