GFWC Woman's Club of Bridgeport Meeting

The GFWC Woman’s Club of Bridgeport is beginning their new club year on Thursday, Sept. 13th at the Benedum Civic Center at 7 PM.  New President Eva Shearer will conduct the business meeting.  Arts and crafts, as well as photography created by the members will be on display.  The evening’s program will be presented by Mrs. Georgia Hatfield, a member of the Governor’s Highway Safety Program in the High Technology Corridor Region. 
 
The GFWC Woman’s Club of Bridgeport is affiliated nationally with the General Federation of Women’s Clubs, a unifying force, bringing together local women’s clubs, with members dedicated to strengthening their communities and enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service. With 100,000 members in affiliated clubs in every state and more than a dozen countries, GFWC members are community leaders who work locally to create global change by supporting the arts, preserving natural resources, advancing education, promoting healthy lifestyles, encouraging civic involvement, and working toward world peace and understanding.
