BHS Alumni & Friends Foundation Releases Tickets to 2025 Hall of Fame Banquet

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on September 04, 2025

Honoring former Alumni & Friends Foundation board member Chuck Steele, Grammy-winning Nashville music producer Roger Alan Nichols, retired Bridgeport High School counselor Mickey Gerba and unofficial historian of Bridgeport Richard Duez, the Bridgeport High School Alumni & Friends Foundation will host its annual Hall of Fame dinner Saturday, Nov. 1 at The O by Oliverio’s.

“The alumni foundation and the Bridgeport community has once again chosen well deserved individuals,” said BHS Alumni & Friends Foundation President Teresa Lunsford. “We are so pleased to honor them and their accomplishments.”

Tickets are now available purchase at $55 per person at https://bhs-alumni-friends-foun.square.site. Social hour begins at 6 p.m. with dinner served at 7 p.m. Message the alumni board through its Facebook page with questions.

The Hall of Fame inductees will also be recognized at the Oct. 31 BHS vs. Fairmont Senior football game at Wayne Jamison Field and be honored with a reception afterwards.

The BHS Alumni & Friends Foundation mans “The Shack” at every home BHS game. Various BHS apparel – including T-shirts, hoodies, hats and other merchandise – can be purchased. All proceeds benefit the scholarship fund.

Nominees were made by community members and voted upon by the BHS Alumni & Friends Foundation board of directors.

The Hall of Fame is open to BHS graduates and non-BHS graduates. Alumnae must have benefited society or the community in which they live, excelled in their chosen field, or directly contributed to BHS through time or talent. Those not graduating from BHS must have directly benefited BHS through time or talent.

The BHS Alumni & Friends Foundation Inc. is a nonprofit organization that offers financial need to students interested in furthering their education. The organization raises funds to offer scholarship opportunities for each graduating class.
