Bridgeport High School Alumna Sarah Yearego Sees College Career Literally Take Off with First Solo Flight

Fairmont State University recently shared on one of its social media platforms the efforts involving a recent Bridgeport High School graduate.
Sarah Yearego, who graduated this past year in the Class of 2025, was noted for successfully completing her first solo flight. Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) Graham Wood is credited with her training.
Fairmont State University's pilot program is called the Aviation Center of Excellence (ACE), which is part of its College of Business and Aviation. The program's professional flight concentration is one of two FAA-approved CFR Part 141 program in West Virginia, offering a Bachelor of Science in Aviation degree that includes flight training for Private, Instrument, and Commercial pilot ratings.
