Bridgeport's Dee Corder Johnson Newest Member of Fairmont State's Athletics Hall of Fame, Class of 2025

Bridgeport’s resident and Bridgeport High School alumna Dee Corder Johnson was officially inducted into the Fairmont State Athletics Hall of Fame Class on earlier this month.

She was part of the Class of 2025 that included Howard "Butch" Collins (Wrestling), Bill Cushing (Swimming), Homer Delovich (Golf), Ed Denny (Coach), Larry Hill (Football/Coach), Mike Maximin (Football). Matt Bingaya, a member of the Class of 2024, was honored during this year's event.
The ceremony inducting Johnson was held Friday, Oct. 10 in the Falcon Center. Johnson was recognized for her time as a cheerleader and cheerleading coach at Fairmont State.
Her biography for induction is as follows:
Dee (Corder) Johnson (Cheerleading, 1996-99)
Dee (Corder) Johnson was a four-year member of the cheerleading team at Fairmont State University. Over those years, she was part of two UCA National Runner-Ups along with two third-place finishes. Over that four-year stretch, she was part of four conference championships.
After graduation, she served as a coach and helped lead the team to four UCA National Championships with eight conference championships to go along with national titles.
She is married to Rick Johnson. They have a daughter, Marra.
