Decades after Moving Away, Dr. Frank Jenio's Entire Family to Give Back to Region with Two Scholarships

- Given on a yearly basis. Applications in January from previous high school graduates or current high school seniors
- Applications must be received by March 31st each year; the selection will be made by June 1
- Two awards annually, one male and one female recipient
- Applicants should reside in West Virginia
- Preference will be given to West Virginia residents
- Preference will be given to low income individuals
- Preference will be given to first generation family members attending college
- Scholarship in the amount of $500 per individual
- Individual can only be awarded the scholarship one time
- Must attend Fairmont State University
- Candidates should write a 300-500-word essay when applying for scholarship. Essay should include statement of need and educational goals
- Fairmont State College will make the final selections based on essay submissions
- A report will be submitted to the IRS and the State of MI annually
- Fairmont State University will advise its applicants how to participate in the program
