Bridgeport to See 30 Sections of City Facing Potential Water Issues for Period of June 1 through June 12

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on June 01, 2026

Editor's Note: Due to inclement weather, this week's list is the same as last week's list of streets.

Please be advised that the Bridgeport Water Department will be flushing fire hydrants throughout the City of Bridgeport. This is an on-going project that will continue through Fall 2026.

City Employees will be flushing fire hydrants, weather permitting, Monday, June 1, 2026 through Friday, June 12, 2026, in the following areas of Bridgeport:

WEEK 5 – June 1-5, 2026
  • Cambridge Place
  • Chenoweth Dr.
  • Elm Dr.
  • Gabriel Brothers Plaza
  • Home Depot Plaza
  • Locust Dr.
  • Lodgeville Rd.
  • Poplar St.
  • Sycamore Dr.
  • Thompson Dr.
  • Twin Oaks Dr.
WEEK 6 – June 8-12, 2026
  • Ashbrooke Court
  • Bancroft Court
  • Benedum Dr.
  • Broadway Ave.
  • Del Dew Dr.
  • Dover Court
  • Frum Rd.
  • Hall Valley Dr.
  • Jennifer Dr.
  • Kelly Dr.
  • Kingston Dr.
  • Lawman Ave.
  • Lexington Circle
  • North St.
  • Pennsylvania Ave.
  • Salisbury Circle
  • Stonebridge Dr.
  • Worthington Dr.
  • Yorktown Court
It is possible, but not likely, that residents may experience some discoloration, cloudy water, low pressure, or temporary loss of water service during this period. This is temporary and poses no health risk. If discolored water occurs, simply run the cold water for a few minutes until it's clear. This will allow the sediment to work its way through your pipes.

The City will not be responsible for any damage caused by discolored water.

Call (304) 842-8231 for more information.
