City Site of Antero Resources Continues Good Deeds with $170,000 in Charitable Gifts to Local Nonprofits

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on October 27, 2025

Through the companies’ charitable private foundation, the Antero Foundation, Antero Resources and Antero Midstream presented $170,000 in gifts to local nonprofits in a special check presentation on October 23. The gifts were proceeds from the annual Antero “Fuel the Burn” Oil & Gas Dodgeball Tournament held in Clarksburg over the summer. Now in its seventh year, more than 90 teams consisting of Antero employees, along with employees from dozens of local and regional businesses working in West Virginia’s natural gas industry, came together to benefit the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) program, Patrons of the Park, Genesis Youth Crisis Center, Hero’s Haven Child Advocacy Center and the Harrison County CASA Program.

“The continued success of this tournament shows the power of partnership and community,” said Conrad Baston, Antero Vice President of Procurement and Administration. “We’re proud to see what can happen when our employees and partners come together. Collectively, we’re making a difference for the nonprofits that make our hometown a better place to live and work.”

Officially launched in 2020, the Antero Foundation invests in local nonprofit organizations across Appalachian communities in West Virginia and Ohio. To date, the Foundation has donated more than $4.2 million towards causes in five core areas of Education, Environmental Causes, Community Development, Health & Human Services, and Arts & Culture. The annual tournament continues this effort, contributing more than $850,000 since its inception in 2016.

“We are honored to receive this incredible $34,000 gift from Antero,” commented Alisha Madia, Executive Director of the Harrison County CASA Program. “Their generosity and ongoing support empower us to provide stronger advocacy for children and to continue expanding our reach in the community. This contribution demonstrates their steadfast commitment to strengthening our community and supporting children in need. We are sincerely thankful for their continued investment in the well-being of local children.”

Antero thanks all vendor partners and supporters of the event, including top level sponsors listed below. To view more and learn about the annual event, visit: www.AnteroFuelTheBurn.com
