Clarksburg-Harrison Public Library to Reopen its First Floor to Public Monday, July 7 after Roof Installation

The Clarksburg-Harrison Public Library is thrilled to announce the reopening of its first floor to the public beginning Monday, July 7, following the installation of a brand-new roof.
"We are extremely grateful for our community stepping in to help us,” said Interim Director Shannon Beam. “Sutter Roofing and their partner Versico Roofing Systems provided a sizable donation of $30,000 toward labor and supplies. We also want to thank the Kelly Miller Community Center for the use of their location in hosting our Summer Reading Program. The City of Clarksburg has been additionally helpful in providing a crew of employees to rip up flooring, take down ceiling tiles, and haul away damaged materials. This truly has been a community effort."
While the upstairs level of the library will remain closed as interior repairs continue, full access to services will be available on the first floor, including limited public computer use. Although the building has been closed for several weeks, library staff have remained hard at work behind the scenes to continue serving the community. During the closure, the library offered Quick Pickup service, notary appointments, passport processing, and copying/faxing assistance to ensure vital services remained available.
“We are excited to see our patrons back in the library and to once again host our programs,” Beam added. “We also want to remind the community about our Tool Lending Library, a great resource for summer gardening and home improvement projects. We have quite a variety of tools available to borrow, including shovels, socket sets, wrenches, circular saws, and many other power tools. Keep an eye out for new additions to our collection in the coming months.”
The library will be open Monday through Friday from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and Saturdays from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
