Steve, Linda Williams Provide Medbrook Children's Charity Gift for its Ongoing "25 for 25" Legacy Fund

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on October 06, 2025

A quarter century ago, Medbrook Children’s Charity was founded to help benefit local underprivileged children in Harrison and surrounding counties. Thanks to amazing community support the charity has been able to raise more than $2 million to assist kids in need.

Sadly, the need continues.

The board of Medbrook Children’s Charity understands the work the charity does is critical and must outlive all members of the board.  With that need in mind, the board of directors initiated the Children’s Champion Legacy Fund and launched “The 25 for 25” campaign.  The goal is to attract donors at a level of $ 25,000 to help fund the charity to perpetuity.

Today, a recent donation from Steve Williams and his late wife, Linda, was made to the 25 for 25 campaign. Their support reflects a shared commitment to helping children and families across our community.

Linda, remembered for her compassion and dedication to others, continues to leave an enduring legacy through this gift. Together with Steve, her generosity helps strengthen the mission of Medbrook Children’s Charity as it celebrates 25 years of service.

As the 25 for 25 campaign moves forward, contributions like this ensure that vital programs and initiatives will continue to grow and reach future generations. The Williams family’s gift is a powerful reminder of the lasting impact of giving back.

A recent photo of Steve and Linda Williams accompanies this announcement, honoring their life together and their shared dedication to making a difference.

In the days and weeks ahead, Connect-Bridgeport will highlight those who have contributed to the campaign.

This video HERE introduces the campaign and covers some of the highlights of the charity’s work.
