Bridgeport Detachment of State Police Investigating Weekend Semi-Truck Crash on I-79 Near Lost Creek

A semi-truck crashed down over a guardrail along Interstate 79 South near Lost Creek Sunday morning.
The accident was reported at approximately 11:30 a.m., according to Harrison County 911 officials. Traffic was congested in the area until nighttime as crews worked to pull the wreckage up over the guardrail.
The driver of the semi-truck was injured, 911 officials said, but there is no word on the extent of those injuries at this time.
The Bridgeport Detachment of the West Virginia State Police are investigating.
