City-Based Trilogy Innovations, Inc., Gets Approved by Department of War for Service Members Program

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on April 07, 2026

The U.S. Department of War has approved Trilogy Innovations, Inc., as a partner in the SkillBridge program, connecting service members nearing the end of active duty with meaningful civilian work experiences.

SkillBridge provides transitioning service members with hands-on training, internships, and apprenticeships across a wide range of industries including IT, cybersecurity, data analytics, skilled trades, and business operations. Participants gain real-world experience while still on active duty, helping them translate military service into in-demand civilian skills.

As a SkillBridge partner, Trilogy will host short-term, government-funded experiential learning — typically up to 90 days — for service members preparing to transition, with the potential to extend into full-time employment.

“This partnership is a natural extension of the work we already do,” said Kathryn Lake, Manager of Talent Engagement and Education Partnerships at Trilogy. “Through our government contracting efforts, we’ve long supported military and federal missions. Now, we have the opportunity to invest in service members on a more personal level, helping them navigate the transition into civilian careers and, in many cases, into our own workforce.”

With this new venture, Trilogy joins a select group of West Virginia-based companies participating in the program, reflecting the organization’s growing focus on workforce development.

“SkillBridge creates a meaningful pathway between military service and civilian opportunity,” Lake added. “It allows service members to apply their experience in new ways while giving organizations like ours the chance to learn from and invest in highly skilled, mission-driven talent.”

Service members may participate in SkillBridge programs for up to 180 days with command approval, focusing full-time on training and professional development while industry partners evaluate long-term fit.
