Clarksburg-Based Technology Start-Up, Heirloom, has Launched New iOS, Android Mobile App

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on December 02, 2025

Heirloom, a Clarksburg–based technology start-up, has officially launched its mobile app on iOS and Android just in time for the holiday season. The company is focused on reshaping how people document their lives and preserve meaningful memories. The launch arrives as families and friends across the country prepare to gather, reconnect, and create new moments together.

Social media makes it easy to document life, but it often makes it harder to stay present. Heirloom gives users a simple way to capture what matters most without the distractions, noise, and endless scrolling common on traditional platforms. Its powerful search tools also make it easy to revisit favorite moments whenever you want.

As the holiday season brings people together, Heirloom gives users a simple way to capture meaningful moments while staying present with the people they love. The app allows users to save photos, videos, and stories without the pressure of social media, while ensuring their memories remain safe and easy to revisit.

“Heirloom was born here in West Virginia, shaped by a culture that values family, community, and legacy,” said founder Andy Walker. “The holidays remind you how important it is to protect the moments you share with the people you love. My goal was to create an app that helps you put your phone down when it counts, while giving you a safe, private place to keep the moments you never want to forget.”

Heirloom has gained momentum through its involvement in the Vantage Ventures accelerator program at West Virginia University. The program provided mentorship, resources, and a supportive community committed to growing innovative companies in the state. That backing helped move the product from concept to launch.

Heirloom is now available in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
