Deadline for Applications for Teen Academy at FBI's Criminal Justice Information Services Division at Hand

Calling all rising West Virginia high school juniors and seniors! You have the chance to experience a day inside the FBI. The 2026 FBI CJIS Division's Teen Academy will be held at the FBI’s CJIS Division on Tuesday, September 22, 2026. Interested students must submit their applications by Wednesday, September 2, 2026. 
The FBI CJIS Division’s Teen Academy program provides high school students the opportunity to develop leadership skills and to investigate the world of law enforcement. A CJIS Division tour will expose students to the expansive responsibilities of the employees on campus. Plus, they will get insight into what occurs at FBI field offices across the country. Special agents, intelligence analysts, and professional staff will lead discussions and interactive sessions focused on the work we do, how we do it, and, most importantly, why we choose this work in service of all Americans.
The program is not exclusive to students interested in criminal justice. All potential students will be evaluated based on their application (GPA, school activities, and community involvement) and essay to determine which students will be offered a seat in the class. None of the above elements will be the sole basis of evaluation of an application and the application process should be taken seriously by all applicants.
