I-79 Lane Closures Running from Wednesday, Sept. 9 to Friday, Sept. 11, Both Lanes North of Bridgeport

FROM THE WEST VIRGINIA DIVISION OF HIGHWAYS, DISTRICT FOUR OFFICE
Triton Construction will be setting up temporary single lane closures on the left most northbound lane on Interstate 79, at mile marker 142, Mehringer Bridge, from 6 p.m., Wednesday, September 9, 2026, to 6 a.m. Thursday, September 10, 2026, then will be doing the same to the southbound left most lane from 6 p.m., Thursday, September 10, 2026, to 6 a.m. Friday, September 11,
2026, to remove sections of the parapet wall and begin existing bridge demolition.
Alternate routes include: Route 73 northbound at Prickett’s Fort.
Expect delays. Motorists are advised to plan ahead and allow additional time for their commute.
Inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances could change the project schedule
