More Positive Economic News at NCWV Airport as Project in "Hundreds of Thousands of Dollars" on Way

Rock told the Authority, the governing body of the NCWV Airport, that work would be starting soon on another project at the Aerotech Park property adjacent to the airport. Randolph Aviation and its owner, city resident Tray Randolph, will be leasing property and will be building an

Although a building permit has not been filed at the City of Bridgeport, Rock estimates the project will “easily be in the hundreds of thousands of dollars.” The key reason for the structure, Randolph said at the August meeting of the Airport Authority, was to find space for a Cessna Mustang, which is his personal jet, which has seen storage in Pennsylvania and currently in Morgantown.
Not only will Randolph handle the hangar project, but Rock told members of the Authority he would handle the building of the road to the facility. The airport would provide the material, Rock said.
“It’s going to be built in the area between EASW (Engine and Airframe Solutions Worldwide) and the new tower site,” said Rock. “It fits in their nicely.”
Randolph said where the jet is located now is a “huge inconvenience.” He added that getting a hangar in Bridgeport “would make life a lot easier.”
Once done, the hangar can hold up to three smaller, or light, jets, Randolph said. He said he looks to sublease additional space that will be available for others with jets or airplanes.
“It’s private investment,” said Rock. “Whenever you get private investment it’s a positive thing.”
