Multiple Fireworks Shows, including Big One in City, Along with Entertainment Tonight and Saturday, July 5

WDTV has listed a number of Fourth of July celebrations will be held in the North Central West Virginia area today and tomorrow. The events the station has been made aware of are listed below in chronological order. If you know of an event that’s not listed below, feel free to email news@wdtv.com .
 
Friday, July 4th
  • Fireworks on the Hill, sponsored by the Greater Bridgeport Convention & Visitors Center, will take place in Bridgeport near the water tower at Eastpointe at 9:30 p.m.
  • Morgantown’s annual Fourth of July celebration will take place at the Ruby Amphitheater. The park opens at 5, festivities, including live music & inflatables, begin at 7 & fireworks will be displayed at 9:45 p.m.
  • The City of Buckhannon will hold a 4th of July celebration as part of their Festival Fridays event. The event kicks off at 5 p.m. at Jawbone Park with fireworks ending the night.
  • The City of Weston’s 4th of July Celebration & Street Fair will begin at 5 p.m. with a parade at 6 p.m. and fireworks at 10:15 p.m.
  • Fireworks will take place in the City of Elkins as part of Our Town’s Summer Concert Series at the Rotary Amphitheatre at 9:30 p.m. A car show & parade will take place prior at 5 p.m.
  • The fireworks at Terra Alta’s 99th Annual 4th of July Celebration will take place at 10 p.m. on Friday.
  • The town of Fairview’s 4th of July celebration, sponsored by the Fairview VFD, will feature a water battle, a hot dog-eating contest, a cornhole tournament & fireworks.
  • Doddridge County’s Red, White & Boom event will take place at the Doddridge County Park. Fireworks will begin at approximately 9:45 p.m.
  • Stonewall Resort in Lewis County will hold Independence Day-related activities throughout the day, ending with a fireworks display at dark.
Saturday, July 5th
  • The City of Grafton‘s Independence Day fireworks display will take place at 10 p.m. Saturday.
  • The Barbour County Independence Day Community Celebration will kick off at the Barbour County Fairgrounds beginning at 9 a.m. A fireworks display will take place at 9:30 p.m.
  • The Palatine Park Summer Concert Series in Fairmont will feature an Independence Day Celebration from 6 to 9 p.m.
  • The city of Thomas will hold their Mountaineer Days 4th of July Festival from 8 a.m. to dark. The festival will conclude with the 68th annual fireworks display by the Thomas VFD.
