Photos: Bridgeport Municipal Art Contest Winners for 2026 City Calendar Recognized at Council Meeting

During Monday’s Bridgeport City Council meeting, the winners of the City of Bridgeport Municipal Government Art Contest Winners were recognized.
Community Development Director Andrea Kerr announced each winner. They were then presented with a 2026 calendar that features each student’s art for their respective months. Along with 12 monthly winners, there was also a cover winner for the calendar.
Mayor Robert Matheny and Council member Jason Campbell brought each award winner forward. Photos of them with the winners are in the gallery below.
Kerr said this is the ninth year of the contest. Submissions are made by elementary students from Heritage Christian, Johnson Elementary, and Simpson Elementary. City staff judges the entrants on their submissions, which feature a Bridgeport theme.
