Vehicle with Multiple Passengers Flips onto Roof Near Interstate 79 During Recent Early Morning Accident

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on November 12, 2025

This weekend, Sunday, Nov. 9, saw first responders head to the scene of a single-vehicle accident at an Interstate 79 off ramp.

Members of the Valley Volunteer Fire Department responded to early morning accident. The call came into at 4:25 a.m. in White Hall and initially reported to be near the Buffalo Wild Wings at the Middletown Commons.

Prior to arrival, the VFD volunteers were given that there were as many as three injuries and entrapment. The unit was also told the vehicle was on its roof.

Marion County Sheriff’s Department Deputies arrived and declared all occupants were out of the vehicle. Upon Valley Volunteer Fire Department’s arrival, it was observed the accident took place on the I-79 Southbound off ramp at the 132-mile marker of South Fairmont.

No injuries were reported following a patient assessment by the Marion County Rescue Squad. However, scene protection and lighting of the area was brought on to the scene for protection.

Although there was no entrapment, firefighters did have to address a large section of damaged guardrail sticking out in the roadway. The group also cleaned up fluid and debris from the accident before Waterfront Towing recovered the vehicle.

Valley VFD said the Marion County Sheriff's Office oversaw the investigation. They also said the driver was taken into custody. No further details were provided.
