The Votes are In: See What Film Community Members Picked for City Pool's First Dive-In Movie of 2026

In May, Bridgeport Parks and Recreation announced that the community could choose from several selections its choice for the first movie to be shown at 2026’s initial Dive-In Movie.
The results are in. And the community has chosen the 2025 movie Lilo & Stitch. The movie beat out Rio, Penguins of Madagascar, and The Little Mermaid.
Those who voted, or even those who did not vote, are welcome to attend the movie on Friday, July 17. The movie is included as part of the regular family night admission.
Swimming on family night runs from 7 p.m. to 8:50 p.m. with the movie set to begin at dark. Once darkness arrives, the movie will be shown on the 20x16 screen that you can watch floating in the pool, from a lounge chair, or lying on a towel.
There is also more than just the movie. Parks and Recreation staff have announced the evening will include themed decorations, games, music, a photo booth and more.
