Bridgeport’s boys basketball team continues to get respect from coaches across the state as they are ranked third in the latest coaches poll.
In the Week 6 West Virginia Schools Athletic Coaches Association (WVSACA) poll, Bridgeport received 85 points to come in ranked third in Class AAA. The Tribe received one first place vote and trails No. 1 Capital and No. 2 Chapmanville.
Several other local schools are in the top 10 as well. North Marion, with a first place vote, is ranked No. 5, while East Fairmont is No. 6, and Robert C. Bryd is No. 10.
In Class AAAA, George Washington is No. 1, while Wheeling Central is No. 1 in Class AA. Tug Valley holds the top spot in Class A.
