By Michael Minnich on February 27, 2026
The seventh edition of the MetroNews high school boys basketball poll recently was released and Bridgeport moved one spot from No. 5 to No. 4 with 68 points, just ahead of Winfield's 67.
The poll is voted upon weekly by a panel of 10 radio broadcasters and sports writers across West Virginia. The rankings include total points and first-place votes in parenthesis. Week 7 rankings reflect results up through Feb. 25, 2026.
Bridgeport finishes its regular season on Friday at home against Grafton, then will have a bye as the No. 1 seed in the Class AAA Region II tournament before facing No. 4 Elkins or No. 5 Lewis County on Tuesday, March 10 at 7 p.m.
