Bridgeport Boys Score Impressive Win Against Greenbrier East, Girls Lost Tight One

Two, times three, added up to a major win for the Bridgeport Indians boys soccer team on Saturday.
Riel Figueroa, Grayson Church and Eli Terebus had a pair of goals each as the Tribe thumped Greenbrier East, 6-2, in their home opener on Saturday.
Riel Figueroa also had an assist in the rematch of last year's state semifinal, also won by BHS in overtime.
Henley Hinkle, Grady Varah and Dominic Figueroa added assists for Bridgeport, which moved to 4-0 on the campaign as they seek to defend their Class AAA title.
Church opened scoring off of an assist from Riel Figueroa in the opening minutes, then buried a penalty kick.Terebus' first strike pushed the cushion to 3-0 at halftime.
Riel Figueroa opened his brace early in the second half, then Terebus tucked home his second to make it 5-0.
After Greenbrier East got a goal back, Riel Figueroa's second goal restored a five-goal lead before the Spartans got a late consolation penalty kick.
The girls, meanwhile, gave up an early goal to fall 1-0 to Greenrbrier East, moving their record to 1-2-1 on the season.
Both Tribe teams will shoot for a 2-0 Big 10 Conference start on Thursday, hosting Fairmont Senior.
The boys match kicks off at 6 p.m., followed by the girls at 8 p.m.
