Bridgeport Boys Soccer Team Picks Up Pair of Shutout Victories to Improve to 3-0-1

By Chris Johnson on September 01, 2025

The Bridgeport High School boys soccer team had a successful trip to the southern part of the state as the Indians picked up a pair of shutout victories to improve to 3-0-1.

They defeated Oak Hill 5-0 and Greenbrier East 2-0.

Grayson Church had a goal and three assists in the two wins, while Riel Figueroa had three goals and one assist.

Adam Jackson had two goals and Phil Nguyen added one goal.

The BHS defense, led by Tucker Pomeroy and goalkeeper Andrew Dumas, allowed just eight shots on goal in the two matches. Dumas had eight saves.

The two wins came on the heels of a 1-all tie against Morgantown, where Church scored a late goal to force the tie.

Bridgeport returns to action on Thursday at Fairmont Senior before heading south again on Saturday to face Woodrow Wilson.
