Bridgeport's Anderson, Veigel Earn Honorable Mention Status on Class AAA All-State Softball Team

A pair of Bridgeport High School standouts, Kyleigh Anderson and Addison Veigel earned honorable mention status on the Class AAA All-State softball team announced today by the West Virginia Sports Writers Association.
 
Anderson, a 2025 graduate who will continue her career at Bethany College, hit .397 with three home runs and 18 RBIs. She also hit nine doubles, three triples, scored 29 runs and stole 14 bases.
 
Veigel hit .407 with two homers and 20 RBIs. She also had nine doubles, a triple, scored 25 runs and stole 11 bases.
 
 
Winfield's Mattie Carroll was named the first-team captain and Grafton's Lillie Crimm is the captain of the second team.
 
Wooden plaques in the shape of West Virginia that include the player’s name, school, licensed WVSWA logo, year of the honoree are available to All-State first-team, second-team, and honorable mentions, and can be purchased from the Bear Wood Company through WVSWA.org or Bearwoodcompany.com.
