Bridgeport's Swim Teams have Successful Weekend

The Bridgeport High School swim teams swept a meet held Friday evening at The Bridge Sports Complex in Bridgeport.
 
On the boys side, the Indians rolled. The Tribe finished with 188 points to get past Grafton with 52 points and Northern Garrett (Md) with 16.
 
In the competition featuring the girls, Bridgeport won with 90 points. Northern Garrett (Md) finished with 42 points, Grafton ended the meet with 28 points, and Southern Garrett finished with 6 points.

Bridgeport returned to action Saturday, Jan. 3 in Morgantown at the Mohawk Invitational.
 
The boys were once again solid. Bridgeport took first place in the 11-team field with 298 points, while Morgantown (235) was second and Wheeling Park (211) was third.
 
Although the girls did not take the top spot, they finished fourth among 12 teams. John Marshall won with 257.2 points, while Morgantown was second with 233.3 points. Herbert Hoover was in third place with 227.5 points.

BHS is back in action Jan. 10. The teams will visit Parkersburg for the Penquin Invitational.
