Former GSC All-American, City Resident Chris George Again Nominated for College Football Hall of Fame

Former Glenville State All-American and Roosevelt-Wilson High School standout, and current Bridgeport resident Chris George once again finds his name on the National Football Foundation 2026 (NFF) College Football Hall of Fame Ballot.
 
George was a First-Team All-American selection and four-time West Virginia Conference pick. He led then Glenville State College to the 
Division II National Playoffs in 1993 and ’94, including an appearance in the national championship contest. 
 
He was also a member of two conference championship teams. By the time he had finished playing, he held nine national records.
 
George is listed under the Divisional Player biographies.
