Local Golfers Shine Against Some of World's Best at WVU Medicine UHC Junior Championship

A handful of local golfers more than held their own at last week’s American Junior Golf Association Tournament presented by WVU Medicine United Hospital Center.
A total of 78 boys and girls golfers from around the world competed in the event. Bridgeport High School junior Audrey Kerr was the lone girl from West Virginia in the field and she finished tied for 18th with a +19 235. Kerr shot a 76 on each of the first two days and finished with an 83 on Day 3.

On the boys side, Clarksburg’s Carson Higginbotham finished tied for 23rd with a +8 221. He shot a 77 on Day 1 and a 72 on each of the final two rounds.
Incoming BHS freshman Alex Randolph finished tied for 40th at +15 228. His round-by-round scores were 77, 71 and 80.
Recent BHS graduate Colton Gerhards finished 51st with a +33 246. His round-by-round scores were 87,86 and 73.
Madison Koshko, from State College, Pa., won the girls division with a -1 215. Enze Miao, from Xi’an, China, won the boys division at -10 203.
