Photos: Indians Open Class AAA Region II Play with 13-0 Victory Against Berkeley Springs

Class AAA No. 2 Bridgeport’s postseason journey began with a convincing 13-0 victory against Berkeley Springs in a Region II opener on Monday.
With the win, the Indians (20-8) advance to face Lincoln, a 7-3 winner against Hampshire on Monday, at 5 p.m. today at Bridgeport.
Guy Avolio pitched four dominant innings for BHS, allowing two hits with nine strikeouts.
He got all the run support he needed in the bottom of the first as the Indians scored 11 in the winning.
Carson Currey led a balanced offensive attack, going 2-for-3 with two RBIs. Kasen Baun hit a two-run double. Currey and Baun each scored a pair of runs as did Michael Romano and Luke Rohrig.
