WVU's Final Game of 2026 Football Season with Utah to be Played in Salt Lake City on Friday, Nov. 27

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on April 10, 2026

The Big 12 Conference has announced that West Virginia University’s final football game of the 2026 season at Utah in Salt Lake City, has been moved to Friday, Nov. 27.

The network designation and time of the game will be announced at a later date.

The Mountaineers will conclude spring football practice on Saturday, April 18, when they play host to the Gold-Blue Spring Festival at Milan Puskar Stadium.

Headlining the Festival, for the first time ever, will be a free postgame concert on Mountaineer Field featuring Jake Owen. Admission is free to the public. The concert will take place from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. following the conclusion of the game at approximately 1:30 p.m.

Admission for the showcase is free with the gates opening at 11 a.m., and all fans are required to claim a ticket by CLICKING HERE. All tickets will be issued via mobile delivery and fans are encouraged to claim and download their tickets to their mobile wallet, prior to arriving at the stadium on game day. In lieu of the cost of admission, fans are encouraged to make a donation to WVU Medicine Golisano Children's at the time of checkout when claiming their ticket.

Along with the kickoff concert, the Almost Heaven Village fan experience zone will be moving to a new location starting at the 2026 Gold-Blue Spring Festival. Almost Heaven Village will now be located on the north lawn outside of the north gate of Milan Puskar Stadium. The fan experience area offers fans the opportunity to enjoy food trucks, inflatables, a DJ, yard games, photo opportunities, caricature and balloon artistry and face painting, along with appearances from the WVU Spirit Squads. Almost Heaven Village will be open two and a half hours prior to kickoff (9:30 a.m.) and will close 30 minutes prior to kickoff (11:30 a.m.).

Also in conjunction with the Gold-Blue Spring Festival, the WVU Athletics Department will conduct a Mountaineer gear sale from 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m., in the Diversified Energy Terrace club area of Milan Puskar Stadium. For the gear sale, the North Gate will open at 9:30 a.m, and will be the only entrance open at the stadium. The Gold-Blue Spring Festival will start at noon.

There will be more than 2,500 items on sale: authentic black, blue and white football helmets, black, white, gold and blue football jerseys and 1965 football jerseys, helmets and pants. The sale also will include items from baseball, men's and women's basketball, volleyball and men's and women's soccer, as well as assorted footwear.
Fans can purchase items by using Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express or cash.  No checks will be accepted; prices are non-negotiable and include state sales tax.  All sales from the event are final.

Fans can now join the Mountaineers for the 2026 football season at Milan Puskar Stadium. New season tickets for the 2026 campaign are on sale now. Season tickets are priced at $399, a savings of more than 10% off the single game price, for the Mountaineers' seven home games. To purchase new season tickets, CLICK HERE.
