Coach Griffith, A lot of that success is due to your dedication to the team and to the atheletes. You're a great coach and had a huge positive influence in my life. I also like the mention of the Cross Country program growth! Things have changed a lot since I was there. Congrats and thanks for what you do.

First, in my opinion, all of the credit for all of the tremendous accomplishments of Bridgeport athletics, in all sports, goes to the fantastic athletes, their awesome families and the most supportive community anywhere. .
Second, it is honor to have been chosen by Jeff to be included in such an auspicious list. However, it really includes more than me. We have an incredible staff and have had through the years. Many of whom grew up in the program themselves before coming back to coach. The inclusion of our program here is a testament to their tremendous knowledge, talent and dedication. . Third, just to show how much these young athletes have accomplished over the past 30 years, in a sport that used to be considered minor and inconsequential at BHS, consider these achievements. . Girls Harrison County - 24 in a row BIG 10 - 4 of last 5, 10 of last 15 Regional - 6 in a row, 8 of last 17 State Champions - 2014, 2016, 2017 Runner-up - 2002, 2013, 2015, 2017 . Boys Harrison County - 17 in a row, 23 of last 24, 25 of last 28 BIG 10 - 22 of last 23 Regional - 6 in a row, 11 of last 20 States Champions - 2014, 2018 Runner-up - 2017 . Prior to 1990, the boys and girls T&F teams combined had only one (1) Harrison County Championship, which was for the boys, I believe, in 1971. The last 30 years of success, include not just competition, but the construction of not one but two tracks, field event venues, a new concession stand, bullpen, and finish line building. Combined with the growth and development of the Cross County program and construction of a Cross Country course over the last 10 year at BHS, these programs are no longer considered minor or inconsequential in terms of either financial contribution to the school or in level of competitiveness state wide. . Once again, I want to thank Jeff for including our program. He has played a key role in the growth and expansion of our program through the media attention he has shown to the athletes and our teams. I owe him a debt of gratitude. . It is an honor and pleasure to coach in such a great city, for such a great school, with such great coaches, families and student-athletes. .
