Free State Plant Guides are Available at North Central West Virginia Garden Centers, Including One in City

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on May 15, 2025

The inaugural West Virginia plant guide showcasing 500 plants commonly used in or recommended for West Virginia is now showing up in nurseries and garden centers throughout North Central West Virginia.

The West Virginia Nursery & Landscape Association (WVNLA) has compiled a beautiful 80-page, full-color publication containing photos, descriptions, growing requirements and mature sizes of each of the plants.

The full-color publication can be acquired for free by interested customers at several area locations.

By providing them, owners of nurseries and garden centers who are WVNLA members hope customers will take advantage of the opportunity to learn more about how to successfully grow Mountain State plants and beautify their gardens and landscapes.

Landscape Plants for West Virginia is available at the following garden centers in the area:
  • Freed’s Greenhouse, Bridgeport, https://www.freedsgreenhouse.com/
  • All In One Landscapes, Reedsville, https://www.facebook.com/AllInOneLandscapes/
  • Biafore Landscape Development, Morgantown, http://www.biafore.com/index.php
  • Highland Nursery, Buckhannon https://www.facebook.com/HighlandNurseryWV/about/?_rdr&checkpoint_src=any
