Triple Grammy Winner, Seller of More than 12 Million Albums, Weird Al, Bringing His Tour to West Virginia

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on December 01, 2025

After bringing his Bigger & Weirder Tour to more than 500,000 fans in 67 cities in 2025, Weird Al will be hitting the road again next year with his even bigger Bigger & Weirder 2026 Tour, playing his iconic hits as well as some never-performed-live-before fan favorites. Al’s long-time band is joined by four additional players to create a super-sized concert experience.

Among the stops is one right here in West Virginia. Weird Al will visit the Charleston Coliseum June 6, 2026. The show is on a Saturday.

While many know Weird Al Yankovic, for those that do not, he is famous for his parodies of hits songs. He is an American comedy musician, singer, and satirist who is the biggest-selling comedy recording artist in history.

To date, he has sold over 12 million albums, recorded more than 150 songs, and done more than 1,000 shows. Weird Al is also a three-time Grammy Award winner.

His top songs include the following:
  • "Eat It" (parody of Michael Jackson's "Beat It"): This was Yankovic's first major smash hit, peaking at number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100 and earning him a Grammy Award.
  • "Like a Surgeon" (parody of Madonna's "Like a Virgin"): Madonna herself is said to have suggested the idea for this parody, which became a top hit.
  • "Fat" (parody of Michael Jackson's "Bad"): This song featured a memorable music video that mimicked the original's choreography while humorously addressing obesity.
  • "Amish Paradise" (parody of Coolio's "Gangsta's Paradise"): One of his most well-known songs, it humorously juxtaposes the gangsta rap style with Amish life.
  • "Smells Like Nirvana" (parody of Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit"): This parody of the grunge anthem included a hilarious music video that accurately spoofed the original and was popular during the alternative rock era.
  • "White & Nerdy" (parody of Chamillionaire's "Ridin'"): This song became Yankovic's biggest hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, celebrating nerd culture and introducing him to a new generation of fans. It reached number 9.
