Alice Rowe has been a teacher at Bridgeport High School for 44 years. She currently teaches journalism, photography and media and advises the school's award-winning yearbook, the Ki-Cu-Wa. She also helps students prepare the daily television show, The Indian Insider, and oversees the weekly online paper, The Arrowhead Online. She has received numerous awards, including Harrison County Teacher of the Year Award in 1993 and 2001. She was one of seven finalists for West Virginia Teacher of the Year in 2001.In 1996, she was inducted into the West Virginia High School Journalism Teacher's Hall of Fame at WVU, and in 1994 she was honored as the Harrison County High School Language Arts Teacher of the Year. She serves as production supervisor for the theatre program at BHS and as the sponsor of the school's "Shop for Tots" Christmas gift program. Alice graduated from Morgantown High and WVU. She and her husband David reside in Bridgeport.
