Curtis Fleming is a 1984 graduate of BHS. He earned a degree in industrial psychology from Fairmont State and pursued a master's degree in
special education at the University of Virginia and Old Dominion University. From 1991 to 2003, Fleming worked at Timber Ridge School, a residential treatment unit. He eventually was responsible for crisis management, curriculum and acted as a behavior modification specialist.
He earned a "Teacher of the Year" honor in 2002. Fleming has also worked at CFW Regional Adult Detention Center in Winchester, VA as a program coordinator in charge of screening, testing and identifying inmates who might need special education services.
In 2006, Fleming's love of the outdoors led him to become executive producer and host of the "Fly Rod Chronicles with Curtis Fleming", a national award-winning show that airs on the Outdoor Channel. He has been included in the "55 Best Things to Happen to WV." Fleming is married to the former Shelly Bibey.
