Area First Responders Recover Vehicle in Waterway

First responders on Monday, March 23, responded to recovering vehicle that entered a waterway in the area.
According to the Granville Fire and Police Departments, the Granville Dive Team, which is comprised of members of both aforementioned departments, responded to assist the Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office with the recovery of a vehicle that had entered Dunkard Creek off Tom’s Run Road.
At the time of the call, it was unknown whether any occupants remained inside the vehicle. Divers were deployed, and the vehicle was successfully located and recovered from the creek. It was confirmed that no individuals were inside.
