Associated Businesses of Bridgeport Begin Planning Fall and Winter Activities

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on August 07, 2022

The Associated Businesses of Bridgeport board of directors met this week to start discussing activities for the fall/winter season.

First on the agenda is the Main Street scarecrow display which will take place during the month of October. ABB member businesses should start thinking about and planning their scarecrow characters which again will be voted upon by community members as well a panel of judges.

Light Up Night will be held Dec. 1 with all the usual festivities: The lighting of the Civic Center Christmas tree, business booths offering free holiday goodies, live entertainment, school bands, choirs and dance groups, and of course, appearances by Santa and Mrs. Claus. Again this year, a community member will be chosen to do the honors of lighting the tree. The ABB encourages residents to start thinking about nominations. Last year, former Bridgeport firefighter Phil Dye did the honors.

Bridgeport businesses which would like to join the ABB and take part in the above-mentioned and other community activities can email hilary@kaufmanrealty.com.
