BMS Softball Players Honored at Eighth-Grade Night

It is a tradition at Bridgeport Middle School (BMS) to recognize the eighth-grade student athletes participating in its various sports programs and activities. For the four eighth-grade members of the BMS softball team, it took some time to have the ceremony. Inclement weather caused the ceremony to be canceled on several occasions.
On Tuesday, May 20, the recognition ceremony was held at the Bridgeport Softball Field. The eighth-grade members of the team are Sophia Rovello, Peyton Kelley, Annie Veigel, and Mara Beverage (from left to right in the photograph). After the ceremony, a cookout was held in the city park for the players, parents, family members, and coaches.
