Blackberry Festival Canceled for 2021 Due to COVID

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on March 30, 2021

One of Harrison County's biggest festivals will not be taking place this year due to COVID-19, according to its Facebook page.

For the second year in a row, the highly popular Blackberry Festival held at Clarksburg City Park in Nutter Fort has been wiped out. The following is the post from their Facebook page.

"Due to Covid Restrictions, The WV Blackberry Festival was not held in 2020 and will not be held in 2021. There is just too much uncertainty and too many guideline's that we are not able to abide by.

Let's hope 2022 proves to be a better year.

Sam Maxson, President WV Blackberry Festival"
