Bridgeport, Clarksburg to Face Off for Bragging Rights
By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on November 20, 2024
For those who wonder about the age old question of who is better - Bridgeport or Clarksburg - an answer on one front is coming soon. For those who do not care, there is a reason to give it some consideration for one evening.
On Tuesday, Dec. 3, the Clarksburg Firefighters will be playing a charity basketball game against the Bridgeport City Firefighters IAFF Local 3692. Who has the talent advantage is not clear at this time, but the homecourt advantage goes to Bridgeport.
The game is set for 6 p.m. at The Bridge Sports Complex.
For those not into the "who is better community" thing, you may want to still consider heading out. All proceeds raised during the event will be donated to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, which is a long-time charity supported by firefigthters.
Currently, 50/50 raffle tickets will be available to purchase CFD Central Station, 465 West Main Street in Clarksburg. You can purchase five for $5 or 15 for $10. The winning ticket will be drawn at halftime, need not be present to win. Also, donations will be accepted at the game.
