City Faces in Different Places

By Hannah Edwards on November 18, 2018 from City Faces

Take a moment to meet this week’s City Face, Julie Gruber.

How long have you lived in Bridgeport?  14 years, total

Where are you originally from?  Bridgeport, but I moved to Stonewood in 2005, then to Morgantown in 2011, and moved back to Bridgeport
in 2016.

Are you married? Yes, to Michael Gruber. We met at a mutual friend’s Super Bowl Party when he was a senior and I was a freshman at
BHS, and the rest is history

Children?   Not yet, but I have two sweet nieces, Annabelle & Rose

What is your favorite color?  Purple and Turquoise

Where do you work? Washington Irving Middle School (Go Toppers!)

Favorite Bridgeport spot?  Main Street Fitness

Favorite WV spot outside of Bridgeport Milan Puskar Stadium & the Coliseum

Favorite place outside of WV? I haven’t decided yet, there are still lots of place I want to go!

Favorite restaurant? That’s a tough one! My favorite Bridgeport restaurant is T&L.

Best childhood memory? Camping and boating at Burnsville Lake with my whole family

Favorite musical group? Too many to pick one, but I currently can’t stop listening to the A Star is Born soundtrack.

Pets?  Not yet, but I always keep my eye on the dogs on the Harrison County Human Society Facebook page.

Hobbies? I’ve grown to love cooking over the last year, and I love trying out new recipes and cooking for my friends and family

Interesting fact about you? My dad owns MountainEar Kettle Korn, and we sell kettle korn at some fairs, festivals, and football games. You might have seen us at Light Up Night, National Night Out, or Family Day at the FBI Center!
