Hobbies? Hobbies of mine are fishing, antiques, seashell hunting and youth sports.

Interesting fact about you? Currently I serve on the Bridgeport Youth Football board as Fundraising Coordinator. I have been involved with the program for 6 years. This is my second term on the board. Being apart of such a strong youth program of approximately 200 kids has been a rewarding experience. Youth football develops all kids physically and mentally by their involvement with the parents, players, and coaches. All participants’ commitment is the future and spirit of Bridgeport. Kids are becoming something bigger than themselves and I love the process, and growth each season. The kids learn to be respectful, disciplined and to give back to the place they live. During the school year, I have been blessed to be a volunteer at Simpson Elementary. It’s been a wonderful opportunity to work with the kids at different events like the book fair, Santa’s workshop and field day. My son will be attending 5th grade next year and I look forward to helping in his final year at the elementary school. As of most recent, I took on an opportunity to work at the Harrison Co. YMCA. I have been there for a few months under Interim CEO Hal Green. It has been an honor and privilege to be a part of this project. As I have been in the building day in and day out, I have become a part of the picture Hal has been trying to paint for this facility and Harrison Co. The facility still serves many members and is home to programs including swimming, youth basketball, the after-school program and Summer Camp.  The YMCA is a safe environment for families and kids of all ages. The Y always welcome a face and it has been the experience of a lifetime serving them through this phase. Being able to give back to the community my family and I live in has been rewarding and I am thankful to be a small part of the hope the YMCA still represents.
